Thaddeus Lee (Lancaster, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) tallied 10 points as he went 5-for-9 while hauling in six rebounds.
Â
Bloomsburg grabbed early hold of the momentum as Davis sank an early three to open the scoring. A miss from the Bald Eagles gave the Huskies the possession back where it ended up with Davis, who fought through contact for the layup.
Â
Another LHU miss gave the ball back to the home side. Davis found the basket yet again to give him seven points in just two minutes. An offensive foul gave the ball back to Bloomsburg before Davis kicked a pass to the corner for Naugle who drained a three to make it 10-0.
Â
After a Lock Haven time out, the Dyllon Scott got the visitors on the board with a layup. Over the course of the half LHU cut into the Huskies' lead, trailing 22-20 at the halfway mark of the frame. A three from
Chase Smucker (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) reignited the Bloomsburg offense, outscoring the visitors 22-6 over the last ten minutes of the half. The maroon and gold led 44-26 at halftime.
Â
The second half saw Lock Haven slowly chip away at the lead, pulling within single-digits at the 12-minute mark. The two sides continued to go back-and-forth through the entirety of the second half. With 47 seconds to play, Dean Coleman-Newsome sank a pair of free throws to pull the Bald Eagles within two. Lee hit a jumper with 21 seconds left before Keith Warren drove to the basket to make it 67-65 with 14 seconds to go.
Â
A series of foul burned four seconds off the clock before sending the Huskies to the line for a one-and-one. A miss on the first free throw ended up in the hands of Scott before eventually finding its way to Luke Kennevan in the far corner to sink the game-winner with three seconds to go. A buzzer-beater attempt from Naugle was no good as the Huskies fell 68-67.
Â
The loss eliminated Bloomsburg from postseason and the maroon and gold will conclude the 2025-26 season on Saturday, February 28 as they head to Shepherd for a 3 p.m. contest.
