MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The Bloomsburg baseball team fell to Frostburg State, 6-2, in an 11-inning contest at the Atlantic Region Crossover on Saturday afternoon.

Bloomsburg (3-1) saw hits from five different members of the lineup while
Nathan Kress (Lansdale, Pa./La Salle College H.S.) and
Anthony Trommer (Trevose, Pa./Neshaminy) each recorded an RBI.

After a scoreless two innings, the Huskies got on the board first in the bottom of the third. A lead-off walk from
Jace Jarmon (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Central) started the inning before a single to left field from
Joe Levis (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) moved the shortstop into scoring position. A sacrifice from Freda moved Jarmon to third before a sacrifice fly from Kress brought the freshman home for the opening run.

Frostburg (6-2) responded in the sixth inning as Jake Holler launched a solo home run to tie the game.

With the score tied after nine innings, the game moved to extra innings. A quick 1-2-3 top of the tenth put Bloomsburg in position to win in the bottom of the frame.
Dylan Hirsh (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) was hit by a pitch to start the inning. The Bobcats got two quick outs before
Mike Miller (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) was intentionally walked. FSU managed to get the third out to leave a pair of baserunners stranded for the Huskies.

Frostburg State capitalized five walks in the top of the 11th to score five runs and take a 6-1 lead. The bottom of the 11th saw Kress and
Grant Russo (Sugarloaf, Pa./Hazleton Area) post back-to-back singles before
Jeremy Stine (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) walked to load the bases. Trommer singled to third base, scoring Kress on the play to make it 6-2. With the bases loaded and a chance to tie the game,
Judah Miller (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) grounded out to third as the comeback fell shirt.

Andrew Armstrong (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) got the start for Bloomsburg, going five innings and allowing no runs on four hits.
Xander Velez (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) was pinned with the loss, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks.

The Huskies are right back in action on Sunday, March 1 as they take on IUP at 11:30 a.m.
