Â
Bloomsburg (4-1) tallied 13 hits across seven innings of play, including a pair of 3-for-3 performances from
Drew Balestrini (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) and
Dylan Hirsh (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury). Balestrini recorded two doubles and three runs on the day while Hirsh posted three RBIs.

Mike Miller (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) grounded into a double play while bringing Russo across the plate to make it 1-0 for the Huskies.
Â
The third inning saw Russo once again leading off, this time drawing a walk. A double from Balestrini in the subsequent at bat put both runners in scoring position. Both baserunners then scored on an RBI-single up the middle from Hirsh.
Â
Back-to-back singles from Miller and
Jeremy Stine (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) advanced the Huskies' lead to 4-0. A triple down left the field line from
Nathan Kress (Lansdale, Pa./La Salle College H.S.) scored two runs to put Bloomsburg up 6-0.
Jace Jarmon (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Central) brought in the final run of the frame on an RBI-groundout to the short stop.
Â
After being hit by a pitch to start the fourth inning, Russo notched a pair of stolen bases in the midst of Balestrini wearing a pitch as well. A single from Hirsh and an error from the right field saw the maroon and gold pick up another two runs.
Â
The fifth inning saw Russo yet again get a free trip to first that lead to two stolen bases. Balestrini brought home the centerfielder on a double down the right-field line. A sacrifice fly from Miller to score Balestrini proved to be the Huskies final run of the contest as Bloomsburg won 11-0.
