Box Score
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance across the lineup, sweeping doubles play and winning five of six singles matches to secure a convincing victory on Monday afternoon.

The Huskies set the tone early by claiming the doubles point with authority, taking all three matches in decisive fashion. At No. 2 doubles, the pairing of Macarena Arisio (San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina/SEADEA) and Lily Sierka (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park) cruised to a 6-0 victory, establishing immediate momentum. Jen McDonald (Melbourne, Australia/Brentwood Secondary College) and Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) followed with a strong 6-2 win at the top spot, while Sarah Buck (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) and Madeline Delisio completed the sweep with a 6-1 victory at No. 3 to give Bloomsburg a 1-0 lead.

Bloomsburg carried that energy into singles play, where the Huskies controlled five of the six courts.

Ilkovic highlighted the afternoon at No. 1 singles with a hard-fought three-set battle. After dropping a tight first-set tiebreak, she responded with a 6-4 second set before narrowly falling in a 10-8 super tiebreak in the lone setback for Bloomsburg.

The rest of the lineup left little doubt.

McDonald delivered a composed straight-set win at No. 2 singles, taking a 6-0 first set before holding off a late push for a 7-5 second-set victory. At No. 3, Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC) continued her strong day with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 win.

The Huskies dominated the lower half of the lineup. At No. 4, Sierka overwhelmed her opponent 6-1, 6-0, while Buck mirrored that effort at No. 5 with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Arisio capped the performance with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.

With the doubles sweep and five singles victories, Bloomsburg showcased depth and consistency throughout the lineup in one of its most complete matches of the season.

The Huskies return to action on Saturday against West Virginia State University. The match is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
