BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - For the first time since 1999, the Bloomsburg men's tennis team is in the ITA National Rankings after the first two weeks of the spring season. The Huskies clock in at #44 in the top-50 ranking released by the ITA on Wednesday.
The Huskies are 2-1 after their first dual matches of the 2025-26 season. Bloomsburg earned a 5-2 win over both Daemen and Frostburg State. The only blemish on the Huskies' schedule came at the hands of NCAA DI Saint Francis.
Alejandro Higuera (Ciudad Obregon, Mexico/Colegio Weston) is 8-3 on the year while
Jack Seaborn (Cambridge, England/The Leys School) is 7-5. Both are 2-1 in dual matches this season at No. 2 singles and No. 3 singles, respectively.
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/Russian Gymnasium at the State Russian Museum) is 7-4 on the year at No. 1 singles.
Landon Wall (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca High School) and Higuera are 2-1 in dual matches at No. 3 Doubles and Dementev is 7-5 overall at doubles.
The Huskies get back to action on Friday when they travel to Ithaca for a 12:00 p.m. match.
