BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg women's tennis team defeated Edinboro at the Burt Reese Tennis Center this afternoon.
The day started in doubles where the Huskies swept the competition. The duo of
Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) and
Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC) won the first flight 6-2.
Lily Sierka (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park) and
Macarena Arisio (San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina/SEADEA) took the gold in the second flight 6-3.
Sarah Buck (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) and
Maddie DeLisio (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin High School) were also featured and won by default as Edinboro did not play anyone in the third flight.
In singles Ilkovic won the first flight 6-3, 6-3. Nakonechna followed behind as she took the second flight 6-3, 6-1. Arisio and DeLisio earned Bloomsburg's final two points as they won by default with no opponent.
The Huskies will travel to Kutztown to face the Golden Bears in an in-conference match up. The match will start at 1 p.m.
