KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Bloomsburg women's tennis team swept the Kutztown Golden Bears 7-0.
In doubles, the team of
Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC) and
Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) took the gold in the #1 Flight 6-1.
Sarah Buck (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) and
Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) swept the competition in the #2 Flight 6-0.
Lily Sierka (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park) and
Macarena Arisio (San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina/SEADEA) also dominated the #3 flight, winning 6-0.
In singles competition, Ilkovic was featured in the #1 Flight and got her second win of the match, winning 6-2, 6-2. Nakonechna joined her doubles partner in the win column by taking the #2 Flight 6-0, 6-1. Sierka played in the #3 Flight and won 6-1, 6-0.
Arisio swept the #4 Flight 6-0, 6-0 in a dominant fashion. Buck won the #5 Flight handedly with a score of 6-0, 6-2. Finally, DeLisio swept the #6 Flight, winning 6-0, 6-0.
