Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg women's tennis team defeated Salem 4-3 in a tightly contested match.
The Huskies did not pick up the point from doubles as the team of
Lily Sierka (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park) and
Macarena Arisio (San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina/SEADEA) was the only team that won. They swept the match 6-0.
In singles,
Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) won the #1 Flight handily with a score of 6-1, 6-1.
Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC) took the #2 Flight by winning 6-4, 6-1. Lia-Sophie went three sets in the #3 Flight, winning 7-5, 2-6, 6-2.
Sarah Buck (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) won the deciding match, giving the Huskies the victory. She won the match 7-5, 6-3.
Bloomsburg will travel to Millersville to play the Marauders on April 18. The match will start at 1 p.m.
