BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg softball team drops doubleheader to the Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
The Huskies tallied four home runs, all one from
Jenna Kaufman (Audubon, Pa./Methacton),
Alizabeth Schuler (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area),
Josie Straigis (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe) and
Sydney Thompson (Karthaus, Pa./Bald Eagle Area).
Game one - Bloomsburg 5. Lock Haven 13
The Huskies started out well, putting the first points on the board with a homer from Straigis.
They homered in the bottom of the third from Schuler. Thompson then singled to left center and advanced to second from a single from Kaufman.
Reagan Wiest (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) then doubled to left center and brought both players home to make it 4-0.
The Bald Eagles then scored 13 straight runs leading into the seventh inning. Kaufman homered towards center field to try and start a late-game rally. The Huskies were unable to comeback and lost the bout 13-5.
Game two - Bloomsburg 3, Lock Haven 13
Bloomsburg started the game well again by going up two runs in the bottom of the first.
Taylor Kranzley (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) tripled towards right field and was brought home by Schuler on a sacrifice fly. Thompson hit the fourth homer of the game for the Huskies and made it 2-0 to end the inning.
Lock Haven took the lead in the top of the fifth, making it 3-2. Kaufman tied it up in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single, bringing in Kranzley.Â
Lock Haven took back the lead and scored 10 straight runs throughout the game. Bloomsburg dropped game two 13-3.

Bloomsburg will travel to Kutztown to play the Golden Bears on April 17 in a doubleheader. Game one will start at 2 p.m.
