KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Bloomsburg men's tennis team defeated the Kutztown Golden Bears 5-2.

The Huskies took two out of the three matches in doubles. The team of Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/Russian Gymnasium at the State Russian Museum) and Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) took the gold in the #1 Flight 6-3. Landon Wall (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca High School) and Alejandro Higuera (Ciudad Obregon, Mexico/Colegio Weston) secured the team point by winning 6-1 in the #3 Flight.

In singles, Dementev took his second victory of the match by winning the #1 Flight 6-2, 6-0. Jack Seaborn (Cambridge, England/The Leys School) won the #2 Flight 6-2, 6-1 in dominant fashion. Higuera also secured the match for the Huskies, winning the #3 Flight 6-2, 6-3.

Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) took the final victory of the match for the Huskies as he won the #4 Flight 6-2, 6-4.

The Huskies will play Salem at the Burt Reese Tennis Center on April 16. The match will start at 2 p.m.
