Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The men's tennis team defeats Salem at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
The match started with the duo of
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/Russian Gymnasium at the State Russian Museum) and
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) winning their doubles bout 6-1 in the #1 Flight.
Jack Seaborn (Cambridge, England/The Leys School) and
Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) joined them by winning the #2 Flight 6-1 as well, securing the doubles point.
In singles, Dementev earned his second victory of the match, winning 6-4, 6-4 in the #1 Flight.
Alejandro Higuera (Ciudad Obregon, Mexico/Colegio Weston) also succeeded in the #2 Flight, gaining a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Seaborn won as well in the #3 Flight with a 6-3, 6-1 score.Â
Soria swept the competition in the #4 flight, winning 6-0, 6-0.
Landon Wall (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca High School) earned the final point for the Huskies by winning a tightly contested match up. He won 6-4, 6-7, 1-0.
Bloomsburg will travel to West Chester to face the Golden Rams on April 20. The match will start at 2 p.m.
