MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team secured a 5-2 PSAC victory over Millersville on Saturday afternoon, using a strong doubles showing and balanced singles play to remain unbeaten in conference action.

Bloomsburg (12-4, 3-0 PSAC) set the tone early in doubles play, where the Huskies earned the crucial opening point. After dropping the No. 1 match, the Huskies responded with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to claim the doubles point.

At No. 3 doubles,
Macarena Arisio (San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina/SEADEA) and
Lily Sierka (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bethel Park) delivered a composed 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles, meanwhile
Dasha Nakonechna (Spain/IOC) and
Nicole Ilkovic (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy High School) sealed the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Annika Rojas and Amelia Gassert at No. 2.

In singles, Bloomsburg extended its advantage with a dominant showing at the top and bottom of the lineup.

At No. 1, Ilkovic controlled the match from the baseline, defeating Lauren Hayes in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. Ilkovic set the tone early to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead.

At No. 4, Sierka delivered a steady and efficient performance, defeating Lucia Consigliere in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. Sierka's ability to dictate rallies helped the Huskies move within one point of the match victory as the Huskies led 3-0.

Sarah Buck (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) clinched the match for the Huskies with a straight-set victory over Maria Barreto, 6-0, 7-5 at No. 6 singles. Buck dominated the opening set and showed resilience in the second to close out the Huskies' fourth point of the afternoon.

Millersville got a point back at No. 2 singles, where
Lia-Sophie Seele (Mülheim, NRW, Germany/Luisenschule) battled through a three-set match. After dropping the opening set, Seele responded with a strong second set, but Marian Hayes regrouped to take the third set and earn a point for the Marauders.

The No. 3 singles match followed a similar back-and-forth pattern. Nakonechna fought back after losing the first set to force a third, but Amelia Gassert edged the final set to secure Millersville's second point.
Arisio closed out the match at No. 5 singles, where she battled through a tightly contested three-set match. After splitting the first two sets, Arisio stayed composed in the super tiebreak, pulling away for a 10-8 win to secure the team victory for Bloomsburg.

Overall, Bloomsburg's depth proved decisive, with contributions throughout the lineup and a strong doubles start providing the foundation for the win.
