KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Bloomsburg men's soccer program earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. The honor is given annually to schools for outstanding academic achievement in the classroom.

A total of 801 soccer teams (338 men, 463 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. Of that total, 187 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

Bloomsburg finished the year with a team GPA of 3.38. It is the seventh overall time receiving the recognition in program history and the fourth consecutive honor under head coach Mark Bassett

The Huskies ended the year 10-3-6, going 4-2-4 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play. Bloomsburg advanced to the semifinals of the PSAC Tournament in 2025.

The Huskies open the 2026 season against Felician at home on Thursday, August 27. Match time is set for 4:00 p.m. at Steph Pettit Stadium.
