LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's cross country team was selected to finish 10th in the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon.

Shippensburg earned 13 first-place votes to claim the top spot in the poll, while East Stroudsburg received the remaining two first-place votes and was selected second. West Chester, Kutztown and Slippery Rock rounded out the top five.

Bloomsburg enters the 2026 season looking to make a move up the conference standings after finishing 14th at the 2025 PSAC Championships. The Huskies were picked 11th in last season's preseason poll before finishing the year 20th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships.

Senior Peter Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) leads the returning group after serving as Bloomsburg's top finisher at the PSAC Championships last season. Tepper placed 55th in a field of 166 runners with an 8K time of 27:00.2 before finishing 89th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships.

Sophomore Rex Farr (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) also returns after gaining valuable postseason experience during his debut campaign. Farr was the second Husky across the finish line at the PSAC Championships, placing 104th, before improving to 85th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships.

The Huskies did not lose any runners from last season's squad and will add four newcomers to the group in Jacob Marino (Woodstown, N.J./Woodstown), Tyler Crumlich (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita), Caden Boettger (Avoca, Pa./Pittston Area) and Nathan Keiner (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area).

Marino enters Bloomsburg with a cross country mark of 16:06 along with track times of 4:28 in the 1,600 and 9:52 in the 3,200. Crumlich owns a 16:45 cross country time and marks of 2:01 in the 800 and 4:40 in the 1,600.

Boettger also enters with a 16:45 cross country mark while posting a 1:58 in the 800 and 4:36 in the 1,600. Keiner rounds out the group with a 17:24 cross country time along with marks of 2:02 in the 800 and 4:37 in the 1,600.

With the entire group returning and the addition of four freshmen, Bloomsburg will look to make significant strides in 2026. The Huskies enter the year targeting improvement at both the conference and regional levels with a goal of cracking the top 10 at the PSAC Championships.

Bloomsburg opens the 2026 campaign at the Saint Francis Father Bede Invitational in Tyrone on Saturday, Sept. 5. The Huskies return to action at the Lock Haven Invitational on Sept. 26 before hosting the Bloomsburg Invitational on Oct. 17.

The Bloomsburg Invitational serves as a preview of the PSAC Championship course as the Huskies host the conference championships on the upper campus Saturday, Nov. 7. It will be the third time in the past eight years that Bloomsburg has hosted the PSAC Championships, joining the 2019 and 2023 editions. The NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships are scheduled for Nov. 21 at the Ivey M. Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, North Carolina.
