Manchester, N.H. - Genna Bush (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) and
Alyxandra Flick (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) both earn a pair of goals to defeat Southern New Hampshire 4-0 in the Huskies' season opener.
Bloomsburg started the game with a bang as Flick scored the first goal of the game within the first 45 seconds of the game.
Sophie Lawler (Newport, Pa./Newport) was there for the assist to give Bloomsburg an early lead.Â
Bloomsburg's defense was tough by only allowing the Penmen to shoot once in the first period, which was blocked.
Bloomsburg continued to lock up the Penmen in the second period by allowing only one shot again, which was saved by goalie
Molly Bross (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge).
Bloomsburg's offense gained momentum with Bush scoring the Huskies' second goal of the game.
Raegan Iasiello (Northampton, Pa./Northampton)Â was in for the assist to help propel Bloomsburg 2-0.Â
Bush was not finished yet as she would score her second goal with just under five minutes remaining in the third period.
Alli Bucher (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) earned an assist as the Huskies took a 3-0 lead.
The Penmen started to get desperate by trying to get any sort of momentum to get back into the game at the start of the fourth period. Bross was a brick wall in front of the net as she recorded five saves in the period. Flick had her second and the team's final goal of the afternoon as she was assisted by
Kaylyn Elliott (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights).

Bloomsburg will stay in Manchester, New Hampshire to play Saint Anselm on Sept. 6. The game will start at noon.
