B & D Acres, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's cross country team opened the season with a strong showing at the Father Bede Invitational, Saturday morning. Sophomore
Olivia Magagna (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) paced the Huskies with a second-overall finish as Bloomsburg finished third as a team with 55 points.

Magagna posted a personal-best time in a collegiate 4K race as she crossed the finish line at 14:42.0, just five seconds off the top finisher. Senior
Lexi Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) ran in her first cross country race for the Huskies and took fourth overall with a personal-best time of 15:02.5.

Haley Conner (Elysburg, Pa./Southern Columbia) scored in the top-20 as she finished 19
th overall with a personal-best time of 16:32.1 and
Josephine Reed (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) posted a collegiate-best time of 16:40.4 to finished 20
th overall.

Melina Turner (Wharton, N.J./Morris Hills) rounded out the scoring runners for the Huskies as she took 23
rd overall with a time of 16:47.7 while
Maura Kelly (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) ran a personal-best time of 17:05.6 to finish 26
th.

Lauren Donahue (Red Hill, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) took 29
th overall with a personal-best time of 17:10.6 while
Sydney Werner (Reading, Pa./Conrad Weiser) finished 30
th with a time of 17:13.1.
Grace Fortin (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) made her Bloomsburg debut with a 32
nd place finish at 17:18.3 and
Meah Eshelman (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) finished 34
th at 17:30.6.

A trio of freshmen rounded out the Huskies lineup as
Lucia Morisani (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg Area) finished 40
th (17:49.9),
Cate Haring (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) took 42
nd (17:53.5), and
Sarah Corbett (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) (47
th) finished with a time of 18:56.9.
