Redshirt junior Zach Bitner finished 16th overall at the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday and helped the Huskies' cross country team to an eighth-place result at the event. A total of 373 runners represented 32 institutions on Saturday. Bitner posted a time of 25:53.1 in the 8K race which shattered his previous personal-best time in that distance. His previous best was 27:12.2at the Lock Haven Invitational during the 2017 season. Bitner missed all of the 2018 cross country season due to an injury but has been the Huskies' best finisher in the first two events of the 2019 campaign.
