Junior Kirsten O'Malley posted an NCAA provisional mark, and finished third overall, in the triple jump as the Huskies competed at the Keydet Invitational, hosted by Virginia Military Institute, over the weekend. O'Malley posted a mark of 11.81 meters on her fifth jump of the competition and finished behind only Dejah Hayes (Unattached) and Javonne Antoine (NC State) in the event. O'Malley finished ahead of a number of Division I jumpers to place third overall. The mark was the second-best jump in the PSAC this season and the 11th-best jump in the country. She holds the top jump in the PSAC, and fifth-best in the country, with her mark of 12.06 meters back on December 8 at the Houghton December Classic.
During day two of the Keydet Invitational, O'Malley also anchored the 4x400-meter relay team that finished 15th overall with a time of 4:10.61. The 4x400 team that has the third-best time in the PSAC this season (3:59.06) which was set at the Bison Opener on December 1.
