Kyle-Michael Rose posted back-to-back double-doubles this week to lift the Huskies to a 2-0 record. With the two victories, Bloomsburg clinched a spot in the PSAC tournament for the third straight season and sixth time in the last seven years. Rose now has four double-doubles this season and six for his career. In Wednesday's 75-58 win at Cheyney, Rose led the Huskies with 19 points (8-of-12 FG) and pulled down 11 rebounds. He added two assists and two blocked shots in the victory. Then, on Saturday, Rose posted 19 points (8-of-11 FG) and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds to lift the Huskies to an 89-78 home win over Millersville on Senior Day. He added two more assists and two more blocked shots in the victory. For the week, Rose averaged 19.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 blocks while shooting 16-of-23 (69.6%) from the field.
Rose now has 58 blocks this season - the most by a BU player since the 2009-10 campaign - and is averaging 13.1 points and 6.1 rebounds on the season. In his first two years combined, Rose averaged 5.6 points and 3.5 rebounds.
