Redshirt senior Nikki Young wrapped up her collegiate career with All-American honors in both the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke at the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championships last week. On Friday, Young started with a school-record time of 1:01.58 in the 100 breast during morning prelims which put her in a tie for fifth during qualifications. The mark broke her own school-record of 1:02.11 she set during her victory in the event at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships last month. In the finals on Friday evening, Young found herself in sixth place in the country with a time of 1:01.91 - the second time in one day of posting a time under 1:02.00 in the event after never having done it prior. Then, on Saturday, Young finished 12th in the country in the 200 breast with a school-record time of 2:16.54 to claim her second All-American nod of the meet.

Young finishes her excellent career with three All-American honors in two trips to the national championships. She departs as a seven-time PSAC champion and holds one conference record. She also holds seven school records - all established during the 2017-18 season.
