Redshirt senior Sarah Gomish led women's volleyball to a 3-2 week by totaling 78 kills and 52 digs over the course of the five matches. On Tuesday, Gomish paced Bloomsburg with 15 kills (.313 hitting percentage) and eight digs in the Huskies' first-ever home match which resulted in a three-set sweep over Chestnut Hill. Over the weekend, Gomish was named to the California (Pa.) Vulcan Invitational All-Tournament Team by helping Bloomsburg to a 2-2 record. Gomish had 13 kills and seven digs in a three-set win over Southern New Hampshire then had 14 kills (.244 hitting percentage) and nine digs in a loss to Notre Dame (Ohio) to conclude day one. She had eight kills and 10 digs in a loss to #1 Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday but then wrapped up the tournament with 28 kills (.324 hitting percentage) and 18 digs in a four-set win over West Virginia Wesleyan. Gomish led all players at the eight-team tournament in kills per set (4.85) and currently leads the PSAC in kills per set (4.39) through nine matches this season. She is 10 kills away from recording 1,000 for her collegiate career and is 157 digs away from 1,000 at the collegiate level.
