Senior Nick McGuire earned a berth to the 2018 NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships as a wild card after finishing sixth overall at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships on Saturday. He posted a time of 34:54 in the 10K on Saturday to post the best Huskies' finish since 2006 when Justin Shepherd placed fourth at regionals. That also marked the last time a male competed at the national championships prior to McGuire's berth which was announced on Monday evening. His sixth place finish earned him All-Regon honors from the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
