Sophomore Abby Wild, in her first season as a regular starter for the softball team, did not allow an earned run in a pair of starts over the weekend. Wild gave up two unearned runs on six hits in the Huskies' 2-1 loss to West Liberty on Saturday. Then, on Sunday, she allowed one unearned run on five hits as Bloomsburg picked up its first win of the young season with a 3-1 victory over West Virginia State. She pitched two complete games and went 1-1 with a 0.00 earned run average. She also struck out 11 batters in her 13 innings of work.
