DOUBLES RESULTS

SHIPPENSBURG—Bloomsburg University men's tennis player Ricky Dove (Port Matilda, State College Area) won the 2010 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) individual championship on Sunday at Shippensburg University. 

Dove, a junior, was seeded second in the tournament and beat top-seed Keith Whittingham of Mercyhurst in the finals in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Dove had reached the finals with a win over teammate Mark Schroeder (Basking Ridge, NJ, Ridge) by scores of 6-2, 7-5. A year ago Dove lost in the semi-finals. 

The win was the second time in three years that the PSAC men's individual champion has come from Bloomsburg after Fernando Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) won the title in 2008. 

In doubles action, the team of Dove and Schroeder lost in the championship match to Millersville's Drew Slocum and Preetham Moras by a score of 8-5.
