CLARION—Tara Huber (Orefield, Parkland)scored a goal and had an assist to lead the Bloomsburg University women's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Clarion University on Wednesday in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup.

The Huskies took the lead in the game late in the first half Katie Walczuk (Long Valley, NJ, West Morris Central) scored with less than four minutes to go before the break. Clarion came back and tied the game in the 62nd minute when Amanda Lewis scored off a Gina Shero assist.

Bloomsburg got the go-ahead scored in the 79th minute when Kristine Preski (Philadelphia, Owen J. Roberts)scored with Huber picking up the assist. Huber then iced the game for the Huskies in the 88th minute when she scored unassisted for a 3-1 victory.

Goalie Frances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ, Haddonfield) made two saves in the win for Bloomsburg now 11-3-3,9-3-1 in the PSAC, while Clarion falls to 4-8-4, 4-6-3 in the PSAC.

Bloomsburg, which has clinched a PSAC playoff spot, will close out its regular season on Saturday at East Stroudsburg starting at 6 p.m.
