CALIFORNIA,PA—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team lost to California (PA), 1-0, in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup on Wednesday.

The game was scoreless through the first 45 minutes despite the Vulcans holding a 10-2 edge in shots on goal. Bloomsburg goalie Frances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ, Haddonfield) made six saves in the opening half to keep it a 0-0 game.

Cal would score the game's only goal in the 58th minute when Sara Di Benedetto scored. The Huskies did get three shots on goal over the next 13 minutes, but could not score.

Bloomsburg falls to 6-2-2, 5-2-1 in the PSAC, while California stays unbeaten at 11-0-1, 7-0-1 in the PSAC. The Huskies host Shippensburg on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Sports Stadium.
