LEWISBURG—The Bloomsburg women's indoor track team had a successful day two at the Bison Open at Bucknell University.
In the 60m dash
Valerie Homer (East Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg South) ran an 8.49 to advance to the finals, while
Michelle Christmann (Oradell, NJ, River Dell) set a six second personal record in the 500m run (1:29.64).
Martina Drew (Langhorne, Neshaminy ) just missed qualifying for PSAC in the 800m run (2:28.08) and
Vicki Davis (New Ringgold, Schuylkill Haven) set a personal record in the 1000m run (3:17.46).
In the mile run
Katie Filemyr (Willow Grove, Bishop McDevitt) (5:24.06) and
Katie Meck (Dillsburg, Northern) (5:28.57) both qualified for PSAC, while
Lauren Bond (Hatfield, North Penn) had a season best (5:35.25).
Caitlin Heller (Bloomsburg, Indian Valley) also set a personal record in the 3000m run (11:51).
The Huskies will travel to East Stroudsburg next Saturday, February 5 for the DeSchriver Invitational.
