MANSFIELD—Tara Huber (Orefield/Parkland)'s goal with 14 minutes left to play lifted the Bloomsburg University women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Mansfield University on Tuesday in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup.

In the opening 45 minutes of play Bloomsburg controlled play getting 13 shots off compared with just five for the Mountaineers, but there was no scoring in the game.  The Huskies Aimee Bux (Pottstown/Owen J. Roberts) had a defensive save to keep the game scoreless when she knocked the potential first score of the game away from the goal on a shot from Mansfield's Sara Weaver.

The Huskies finally got on the board late in the game. Bloomsburg's Samantha Fox (Southampton/William Tennet) took a shot that was knocked down by Mansfield goalie Alexis Wilhelm. But Huber was there to collect the ball and beat Wilhelm to the bottom right of the net.

From there the Huskies managed to permit just one shot on the goal the remainder of the game to post the victory.

With the win the Huskies improved to 7-4-1, 3-1-1 in the PSAC, while Mansfield fell to 1-10, 0-9 in the PSAC.

Bloomsburg will be back in action on Saturday hosting Kutztown at noon at Sports Stadium.
