INDIANA, PA--Despite an early 1-0 lead the Bloomsburg University women's soccer team could not hold off the Crimson Hawks from IUP and lost by a score of 3-1.
Natalie Adams (Wilkes-Barre/Holy Redeemer) scored just 6:02 into the game, unassisted, to put the Huskies on top. The game stayed that way through the rest of the first half despite IUP getting off eight shots to just three for the Huskies. BU goalie
Frances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield) made four saves in the opening 45 minutes.
In the second half though IUP scored the equalizer just 2:22 into the half, then got the go-ahead goal in the 58th minute. The Crimson Hawks would get an insurance goal in the 61st minute to score the 3-1 win.
The Huskies drop to 8-7-1, 6-6-1 in the PSAC, while IUP goes to 11-3-2, 9-3-2 in the PSAC. Bloomsburg plays at Chestnut Hill College on Oct. 27.
