RESULTS
EAST STROUDSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's track and field team took part in the 12th annual DeSchriver Invitational at East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
Among the highlights for the Huskies include a second and third place finish in the 3000 meter race. Taking second was
Kaitlyn McShay (Springfield/Cardinal O'Hara) in 11:06.67, while
Samantha Matthews (Windsor/Glenelg) was third in 11:12.06. In the mile
Angela Borealo (Easton/Easton) ran a PSAC qualifying time of 5:23.53 to take seventh. In the 500,
Jessica Segeleon (Bridgeville/South Fayette) was second in 1:23.68, the best finish of the day for the Huskies.
In the 55 meter dash,
Valerie Homer (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) ran 7.85 seconds, while at 400 meters
Meagan McGeehan (Landisville/Hempfield ) was fifth in 1:03.73, while
Kaila Hassler (Schnecksville/Parkland) was sixth in 1:03.83. At 800 meters
Katie Filemyr (Willow Grove/Bishop McDevitt) ran a 2:28.97,while
Martina Drew (Langhorne/Neshaminy ) was 13th in 2:31.92. In the 55 meter hurdles
Vanessa Rimbey (Lehighton/Lehighton Area) was 13th in 9.41 seconds with
Amanda Darling (Mt. Bethel, Bangor )16th in 9.57 seconds.
In the pole vault
Kelsey Davis (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) was third with a mark of 3.15 meters (10'6”), while in the shotput
Brooke Matza (Shavertown/Lake Lehman) was 14th in 10.15 meters (33'3 ¾”). In the weight throw Matza was 11th in 11.38 meters (37'4”).
