COMPLETE RESULTS
BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's track and field team began their outdoor season at the Jim Taylor Invitational with 10 PSAC-qualifying marks and two new school records.
Establishing a new school record in the hammer throw and qualifying for the PSAC championships was
Brooke Matza (Shavertown/Lake Lehman) with a throw of 34.37 meters, 112 feet, nine inches. Setting a new school record in the pole vault and earning a spot at the PSAC championships was
Kelsey Davis (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) with a mark of 3.20 meters, 10 feet, six inches.
In the long jump Alilia Anderson took second with a PSAC-qualifying mark of 5.00 meters, 16 feet, 5 inches.
At 1500 meters the Huskies
Katie Meck (Dillsburg/Northern) finished first in 4:45.62 and qualified for the PSAC championships. In addition,
Katie Filemyr (Willow Grove/Bishop McDevitt) who was fourth in 4:52.41 and Victoria Davis sixth in 4:59.53 also qualified for PSACs.
At 400 meters
Jessica Shisler (Port Matilda/State College Area) was second in a PSAC-qualifying time time of 1:00.53, while
Kaila Hassler (Schnecksville/Parkland) was fifth in 1:01.72.
In the 5000-meter event four Huskies turned in PSAC-qualifying marks. Taking third in 18:10.92 was Meck, while Filemyr was seventh in 18:27.17, while Katie McShay was 10th in 18:33.27 with
Samantha Matthews (Windsor/Glenelg) 11th in 18:35.26.
In addition, Shisler was sixth in the 200-meter dash in 27.11, while
Michelle Christmann (Oradell, NJ/River Dell) was 400-meter hurdles in 1:10.80.
