BLOOMSBURG--On Thursday and Friday, April 21-22, Bloomsburg University will play host to the 2011 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Team Tennis Championships.
In the women's tournament, East No. 1 seed Bloomsburg will take on West No. 2 IUP, which defeated Slippery Rock in Monday's quarterfinal. West No. 1 California will play East No. 2 West Chester, which topped East Stroudsburg in Monday's other quarterfinal. The women's semifinals will be Thursday at 12 noon with the championship and third place matches set for Friday at 9:00 a.m. California is the defending tournament champion.
On the men's side, No. 1 seed Kutztown will face No. 4 seed Mercyhurst while No. 2 Bloomsburg takes on No. 3 Millersville in Thursday's semifinals, which will begin at 3:00 p.m. The championship and third place matches will be on Friday at 12 noon. Kutztown has won the last two team titles.
If necessary, Saturday, April 23, will be used as a rain date.
