COMPLETE RESULTS
MILLERSVILLE—Two school records and 11 PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) championship qualifying performances highlighted the Bloomsburg University women's track and field team's performancfe at the Millersville Metrics on Saturday.
Setting school records were
Katie Meck (Dillsburg/Northern) in the 3000 meter race after finishing second with a time of 9:56.67. She broke the school record by mark (10:18.92) set back in 1998. Meck's time was also good enough to qualify for the PSAC championships.
Also breaking a school record was
Brooke Matza (Shavertown/Lake Lehman) in the hammer throw who broke her own mark set last week. Matza had a throw of 34.62 meters (113' 7”).
Posting PSAC championship qualifying marks were
Vanessa Rimbey (Lehighton/Lehighton Area) in the long jump and the 100 meter hurdles. Rimbey had a mark of 5.06 meters (16'7.25”) in the long jump and ran the hurdles in the 16.06 seconds.
At 400 meters,
Kaila Hassler (Schnecksville/Parkland) ran a PSAC-qualifying mark of 59.62 seconds with

Katie Filemyr (Willow Grove/Bishop McDevitt) was 11th in 4:54.74 and qualified for the PSAC championships. In the 3000-meter event was
Kaitlyn McShay (Springfield/Cardinal O'Hara) was seventh in 10:36.52, a PSAC qualifying mark.
Two Bloomsburg runners qualified for the PSAC championships at 3000 meters.
Samantha Matthews (Windsor/Glenelg) ran a 10:39.28, while
Vicki Davis (New Ringgold/Schuylkill Haven) posted a time of 10:42.52.
In field events two athletes posted qualifying marks;
Kelsey Davis (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) in the pole vault with a mark of 3.15 meters (10' 4”) and
Emily Backel (Dillsburg/Northern York County) in the discus with a throw of 35.44 meters (116' 3”).
Bloomsburg will host the Husky Open next Friday and Saturday at Redman Stadium.
