BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team wrapped up the final day of the BU Fall Classic this afternoon. Today's matches consisted of singles and doubles play between colleges from Bloomsburg, Bucknell, Mary Washington, Scranton and Ithaca.
Huskies doubles combo
Evan Carney (West Winfield, NY/Mt. Markham) and
Andres Prince (Blue Bell/Wissahickon) were Bloomsburg's only winners in doubles this afternoon as they took their match 8-5 in the “A” flight.
In singles action
Ricky Dove (Port Matilda/State College Area) won his only match of the day in the “A” flight by the scores of 6-1, 6-0. With today's win he remained perfect on the weekend, going 3-0 in singles action.
Other singles winners for the huskies were
Nenyi Micah (Allentown/William Allen) and Prince as they both took their matches in straight sets in the “D” flight.
The Huskies will hit the courts again as they host Scranton University on October 3rd. Action is scheduled to being at 6:00 p.m. in Bloomsburg, PA.
