SLIPPERY ROCK—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team lost to Slippery Rock on Friday by a score of 2-0 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference matchup.

The Rock took the lead in the game in the 30th minute when Lucy Hannon scored on an assist from Steph Buckenheimer.

Despite the Rock holding an edge in shots and shots on goal, the game stayed 1-0 until the 80th minute when Buckenheimer scored off an assist from Shelby Ward.

Overall Slippery Rock registered 16 shots to three for the Huskies and held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

Bloomsburg goalie Frances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield) made 10 saves for the Huskies, now 4-4, 3-3 in the PSAC. Slippery Rock improves to 5-3-2, 3-2-2- in the PSAC.

The Huskies play at Lock Haven on Saturday at 1 p.m.
