BETHLEHEM—The Bloomsburg University women's indoor track team took part in the Mountain Hawk Invite on Friday and Saturday at Lehigh University.
On Friday,
Vanessa Rimbey (Lehighton/Lehighton Area) took fourth in the Pentathlon with 2,552 points. Rimbey had a time of 9.82 in the 60 meter dash; high jumped 1.55 meters (5'1”); threw the shotput in 7.24 meters (23'9”); had a long jump of 5.20 meters (17'0 ¾”) which ranks her third in the PSAC; and ran the 800 meters in 3:25.68.
In the women's 5,000 meter race the Huskies had four PSAC-qualifying times.
Shelby Pealer (Naperville, IL/Naperville Central ) took second in 18:56.47, while
Samantha Matthews (Windsor/Glenelg) was third in 18:57.91 with
Caitlin Heller (Bloomsburg/Indian Valley) fourth in 19:17.53 and
Lauren Bond (Hatfield/North Penn) finishing in 19:22.50.
On Saturday,
Vicki Davis (New Ringgold/Schuylkill Haven) led the way for Bloomsburg taking first place in the 3,000 meter race in 10:31.61, while
Kaitlyn McShay (Springfield/Cardinal O'Hara) was fourth in 10:42.35 with
Lauren Lehman (Mt. Holly Springs/Boiling Springs) finishing in 10:54.16. All three times in the 3,000 were PSAC-qualifying marks. McShay also competed in the 1-mile race and was fourth in that event as well in a PSAC-qualifying time of 5:19.74.
In the 400-meter dash
Alexis Rankin (Hatboro/Hatboro-Horsham) took fifth in 1:01.57 with
Rebecca Canderan (Ocean View, NJ/Ocean City) ninth in 1:03.11. In the 200-meter dash Rankin was sixth in 27.15 seconds.
In the 500-meter race
Jessica Segeleon (Bridgeville/South Fayette) was seventh in 1:24.88, while
Kate Dodds (Ambler/Upper Dublin) was eighth in 1:26.31.
In the high jump
Kelsey Davis (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) was eighth with a PSAC-qualifying mark of 3.05 meters (10').
