CALIFORNIA, PA—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team lost to 15th-ranked California (PA) University by a score of 4-0 on Tuesday.
 
In the first half of play the Huskies defense kept the game scoreless despite being outshot 14-0 in the opening 45 minutes. In goal, Bloomsburg's Danielle Fiorelli (Warrington/Villa Joseph Marie) came up with seven saves to keep it 0-0 at the break.
 
In the second half the Vulcans scored just 1:36 into the period with Jordan Grey scored off an assist from Bethany Smyda. Cal would put the game out of reach with goals three minutes apart scoring in the 58th and 61st minutes.  The home team closed out the scoring in the 75th minute.
 
The Huskies got two shots off, both on goal, that were saved by the Vulcans goalie.
 
Bloomsburg goes to 4-7-1, 2-6-1 in the PSAC. The Huskies host Shippensburg on Saturday at 4 p.m.
