FINAL RESULTS
SUSQUEHANNA—The Bloomsburg University women's indoor track team wrapped-up the SU Open at Susquehanna University on Friday night. The Huskies produced one PSAC qualifier and several top five finishes.
Taylor Harkins qualified for the PSAC Championships with a throw of 10.85m (35'7.25”) in the shot put. Her throw was sixth best at the meet.
Kelsey Davis (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) was a second place finisher in the pole vault with a jump of 3.20m (10'6”).
Valerie Homer (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) was also a second place finisher for the Huskies in the 60 meter dash. Homer posted a time of 8.07 seconds, just 0.18 seconds away from the first place finisher.
The women's 4x200 relay team of
Rebecca Canderan (Ocean View, NJ/Ocean City),
Jessica Segeleon (Bridgeville/South Fayette),
Amber Stephan (Gettysburg/Gettysburg), and
Alexis Rankin (Hatboro/Hatboro-Horsham) took home second place with a time of 1.49.63. All four Huskies teamed up again for the 4x400 and would place third with a time of 4.07.70. Their time was 0.04 seconds off of the second place team.
Vanessa Rimbey (Lehighton/Lehighton Area),
Katie Filemyr (Willow Grove/Bishop McDevitt), and Victoria Davis were all top five finishers for the Huskies. Rimbey finished third in the long jump with a jump of 5.09m (16'8.5”). Filemyr and Davis finished third and fourth respectively in the mile run. Filemyr ran the mile in 5.15.02 while Davis was just behind with a time of 5.15.90.
Friday's meet was Bloomsburg's final preparation for the PSAC Championships which will take place Saturday, February 25th and conclude on the following Sunday.
