HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC—The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team improved to 3-2 with 6-3 win over Winston Salem State.  Ricky Dove (Port Matilda/State College Area), Jeff Nuhfer (Warren/Warren Area), and Lee Wexler (Lafayette Hill/Plymouth-Whitemarsh) all were double-winners in today's match.

Bloomsburg opened the match by taking two of three doubles matches.  Mark Schroeder (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) and Dove earned an 8-1 win at first doubles while Nuhfer and Wexler picked up an 8-2 win at the second spot.

With a 2-1 edge entering singles play, the Huskies took four of six singles matches to earn a 6-3 win.  Dove blanked his opponent at the first spot, winning 6-0, 6-0.  Nuhfer tallied a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles while Wexler tallied a 6-0, 6-0 win at the third position. 

Tyler Pultro (New Britain/Central Bucks West) was Bloomsburg's final winner in singles action as he battled his way to a three set win at the fifth spot.  He took the first in a tie breaker but dropped the second set in the same fashion.  With the match already decided, a super tie-breaker was needed to determine the outcome and Pultro would come through victorious with a 10-4 win. 

The Huskies will look to build on their last two wins as they take on Charleston in an 8:00 a.m. match tomorrow, March 13th.
