HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC—The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team (6-2) battled their way to a 7-2 victory over Missouri Valley.  With the win Bloomsburg went a perfect 5-0 on their spring break trip.

The Huskies opened the match by sweeping the doubles matches, taking a 3-0 lead into singles play.  From there Ricky Dove (Port Matilda/State College Area) tallied a 6-2, 6-4 straight set win at first singles.  Tyler Pultro (New Britain/Central Bucks West) was also a straight set winner at the fourth spot, earning a 6-2, 6-2 victory. 

Bloomsburg's Mike DiSanto (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) and Evan Carney (West Winfield, NY/Mt. Markham) picked up singles wins at fifth and sixth singles respectively.  DiSanto pulled out a tight first set 7-6 (7-5) and followed it up with a 6-3 win in the second. 

After winning his first set in a tie breaker 7-6 (7-4), Carney would fall in the second set 3-6.  With the match already decided, a super tie-break was played for the third and final set.  Carney would go on to win the super-breaker, giving Bloomsburg a 7-2 win. 

The Huskies will be back in action on Tuesday, March 20th as they host Wilkes in a 3:30 p.m. match in Bloomsburg, PA.
