COMPLETE RESULTS
SELINSGROVE—The Bloomsburg University women's track and field team qualified 15 for the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Championships at the Jim Taylor Invitational at Susquehanna University on Saturday.
In the 100-meter dash
Valerie Homer (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) was second in a PSAC-qualifying time of 12.86 seconds, while at 200-meters
Alexis Rankin (Hatboro/Hatboro-Horsham) qualified for PSAC's and won the event in a time of 26.50 seconds.
At 400-meters Rankin and
Rebecca Canderan (Ocean View, NJ/Ocean City) both qualified for PSAC's with Rankin taking second in 58.93 seconds, while Canderan was fourth in 1:00.21. In the 800-meter event the Huskies had two runners post conference championship qualifying marks.
Lauren Lehman (Mt. Holly Springs/Boiling Springs) was fifth in 2:23.57, while
Katie Filemyr (Willow Grove/Bishop McDevitt) was sixth in 2:24.33.
In the 1500-meter race the Huskies had four PSAC-qualifying times. Filemyr was second in 4:50.44, Lehman third in 4:50.99,
Kaitlyn McShay (Springfield/Cardinal O'Hara) fourth in 4:51.77 and
Samantha Matthews (Windsor/Glenelg) eighth in 4:58.24. At 5000-meters
Kelsey Harm (Boothwyn/Cardinal O'Hara) and
Caitlin Heller (Bloomsburg/Indian Valley) qualified for PSAC's with Harm sixth in 18:10.05 with Heller ninth in 18:28.93.
In field events three Huskies posted PSAC-qualifying marks.
Kelsey Davis (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) won the pole vault with a school-record mark of 3.35 meters/10'11 ¾”; while in the shot put
Tayler Harkins (Lansdale/North Penn) was second with a throw of 11.11 meters/36' 5 ½” with
Nechole Hill-Perry (Harrisburg/SciTech) qualifying in the javelin with a school-record throw of 36.72 metes/120 '6”.
The Huskies are back in action on Friday at the Millersville Metrics.
