Box Score BOX SCORE

CLARION—Goalkeeper Danielle Fiorelli (Warrington/Villa Joseph Marie) made six saves and the Bloomsburg University offense scored two first half goals lifting the Huskies to a 2-0 win over Clarion University on Friday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) women's soccer matchup.

The Huskies got all the scoring they needed in the 21st minute of play when Brooke Mohney (Bigler/Clearfield) scored off a Caroline Mountney (Flourtown/Springfield) assist.

Less than eight minutes later Bloomsburg got what would turn out to be an insurance goal when Tara Huber (Orefield/Parkland) scored off a Caitlin Raynes (Pennsburg/Upper Perkiomen) 29 minutes into the game.

From there, Fiorelli made the goals stand up as she stopped two first half shots and then added six more second half saves to earn the shutout victory.

With the win Bloomsburg improves to 4-4, 2-3 in the PSAC, while Clarion falls to 1-6-2, 1-5 in the PSAC. The Huskies are back in action on Saturday at 4 p.m.
