BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team lost fell to #13 California (PA), 2-1, on Saturday in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup.

The two teams played a scoreless first half with the Huskies outshooting the Vulcans 6-5, while Cal held a 2-0 edge in penalty corners.

Cal took its first lead in the game in the 51st minute when Danielle Kearns rebounded a missed shot and got it past Bloomsburg goalie
Danielle Fiorelli (Warrington/Villa Joseph Marie).
The Huskies tied the score at the 57:27 mark of the game when
Tara Huber (Orefield/Parkland) scored unassisted. It was her fifth goal of the season.

The Vulcans would regain the lead in the 71st minute when Stephanie Thompson header a ball off a corner kick from Erin Hogan.

Bloomsburg's best chance to tie the game came in the 87th minute when Huber got a breakaway, but California (PA) goalie Ashley Magruda made a point blank save on the shot.

The Huskies go 5-8, 3-8 in the PSAC, while California improves to 9-2-1, 9-1 in the PSAC. Bloomsburg plays at Millersville on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
