WEST CHESTER--The Bloomsburg University men's swimming team posted 15 PSAC qualifying marks in its season opening meet against West Chester and Division I Lehigh University. The Huskies lost to West Chester 190-47 and to Lehigh 169-54.

Of the 15 PSAC qualifying marks eight came from a quartet of swimmers
Alex Otero (Allentown/Parkland),
Brandon Sherbo (Etters/Red Land),
Tyler Gross (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) and freshman
Pat Stasio (Horsham/Hatboro Horsham) who each qualified in two events.

Otero qualified in the 200-free with a time of 1:48.45 as well as in the 200-back in 2:04.34. Sherbo qualified in the distance events for the Huskies posting a time of 10:23.90 in the 1000-free and 4:58.32 in the 500-free.
Tyler Gross (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) posted qualifying times in the 200-breast in a time of 2:13.36 and the 200-IM in 2:02.63. Stasio, in his first collegiate meet, qualified in the 50-free in 22.19 seconds and the 100-free in 49.01 seconds.

In addition the Huskies'
Frank Eichhorn (Reading/Exeter Township) qualified in the 1000-free in 10:18.87, while
Bryan Masilotti (Vineland, N.J./Vineland) qualified in the 50-free in 21.67.
Jake Harner (Philadelphia/Father Judge) qualified in the 200-IM in 2:00.22 to finish second in the meet, while
Mark DiLemmo (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) posted a time of 2:04.16 and
Tom Malloy (Lancaster/Lancaster Catholic) a time of 2:04.19 in the 200-fly.

The final two qualifying marks came in the 200-back from
A.J. Brady (Wilmington, DE/Delaware Military Academy) with a mark of 2:00.08 and
Aaron Cancro (Limerick/Spring-Ford) with a mark of 2:04.09.
Bloomsburg returns to action on Nov. 9 hosting Edinboro at 1 p.m.
