MATCH NOTES

BLOOMSBURG--Bloomsburg begins its 2013-14 dual meet season with a visit to historic Grace Hall at Lehigh University. Match time is set for 7 p.m.

• Bloomsburg moved up two spots to number 15 in this week's USA Today/NWCA/AWN National Division I Coaches Poll. The Huskies will face three of the teams ranked in the coaches poll during the season facing off with Illinois (#7); Edinboro (#9) and Rider (#25). This week's opponent, Lehigh, dropped out of the rankings, after losing to Bucknell, 18-17, on criteria.

•Bloomsburg has six wrestlers, Nick Wilcox (Greene, NY/Greene Central), Bryce Busler (Mechanicsburg/Cumberland Valley), Josh Veltre (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia), Mike Dessino (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex), Richard Perry (Meriden, CT/Middletown) and Justin Grant (Easton/Easton), ranked nationally in their respective weight classes after one week of the season.

• The Huskies competed at the Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational last weekend finishing second to the Sooners with 133 points (168 for OU). Bloomsburg had two champions (Busler and Veltre), a second place finisher (Wilcox) and three third place finishers (Hartnett, Dessino and Perry).

• Busler was named the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler and EWL Wrestler of the Week after beating Kendric Maple of Oklahoma, the defending national champion and top-ranked at his weight this season, in the finals 5-3 in OT.
