INDIANA, Pa. -  The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team closed its 2013 season by winning its third straight match, this time capturing a 3-1 triumph over IUP at South Campus Field on Saturday afternoon.

Tara Huber (Orefield/Parkland) continued her red hot end to the season with two more goals while Kelsey Holtz (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Borough) added a late insurance goal for the Huskies (9-9-0, 7-9-0 PSAC).

Huber got the scoring started early. In just the 10th minute of the contest, Huber tapped in a shot past the IUP keeper for the quick lead.

IUP (9-8-1, 7-8-1 PSAC) tied the match shortly after intermission. Brittney Kuhns put in a shot from the far right wing that hit the post and trickled in for the tie at 47:20.

Things remained in a 1-1 deadlock until the 71st minute. Following an IUP foul, Lauren Kreglow (Whitehall/Allentown Central Catholic) was awarded a free kick which Kyleigh Reckage (Manasquan, NJ/Wall) headed from the right of the net to Huber. From there, Huber shot high over the IUP keeper's hands for what would end up being the game-winner.

Seven minutes later, Holtz scored unassisted on a shot from the right side that found its way over the goalie's hands into the top left corner of the net for an insurance goal. The score came as a special finish to Holtz's career as it was the senior defender's first goal at BU.

Danielle Fiorelli (Warrington/Villa Joseph Marie) made three saves to earn the victory in goal for the Huskies.

Bloomsburg outshot IUP by a 15-9 margin, including 8-2 during a second half that was largely controlled by the Huskies.

Huber, a senior forward, finishes a stellar career by again rising in the BU record books – ranking sixth in all-time goals (35) while standing seventh in points (84).
