Complete Results

EDINBORO – Senior distance runner Vicki Davis (New Ringgold/Schuylkill Haven) set the school-record in the 3000-meter run by nearly 10 seconds as the Bloomsburg University women's track and field team finished seventh at the 2013 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships hosted by Edinboro University.

As a team, Bloomsburg improved from its eighth place standing after Saturday's opening day of the conference championships. It finished the weekend with 43 points. Shippensburg won the PSAC championship with 125.25 points. Bloomsburg matched its seventh place finish from a year ago.

"I am proud of the efforts of our squad this weekend," head coach Bernie Empie said. "Our women really stepped up and had an excellent meet. (Vicki) Davis had a big work load and produced where we expected, but one person can't do it all and she got some help from her teammates to equal last years team finish."

Davis finished second behind Shippensburg's Katrina Spratford in the 3000 to earn All-PSAC honors. She finished in 9:54.95 and torched the previous school-record set in 2011-12 by Kaitlyn McShay (Springfield/Cardinal O'Hara) of 10:04.18 by nearly 10 seconds. Her time is also an NCAA provisional cut.

Davis also finished second in the mile run in 5:02.81 behind Spratford.

Senior Lauren Bond (Hatfield/North Penn) and junior Jessica Segeleon (Bridgeville/South Fayette) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 800-meter run. Bond finished in 2:19.20 with Segeleon coming in at fifth in 2:19.37. Bond owns the school-record in the event at 2:19.01 set last week at Susquehanna.

In the shot put, sophomore Tayler Harkins (Lansdale/North Penn) finished fifth for her throw of 11.95 meters. She owns the school-record in the shot put at 12.06 meters. Freshman Meghan Hallick (Pottsville/Pottsville Area) finished 10th at 11.07 meters.

Next up for the Huskies are the NCAA Championships in Birmingham, Al. on Mar. 8-9. The outdoor season begins on Mar. 22-23 for Bloomsburg when it competes in the Washington and Lee/VMI Carnival in Lexington, Va.
