MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Bloomsburg dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's tennis match at Millersville, falling 7-2 to the Marauders.
The Huskies picked up a win at first doubles as the duo of
Mike DiSanto (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) and
Brayden Shipman (Mill Hall/Central Mountain) notched an 8-5 win over Jody Sambrick, Jr. and Niko Mucci. Millersville scored the other two doubles points to enter singles play with a 2-1 lead.
Jeff Dailey (Easton/Easton) was a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 winner at sixth singles against Anthony Jadus for BU's only other point of the afternoon.
Two other Huskies battled to third sets, but ultimately were defeated. Shipman nearly pulled out his second win of the day before bowing to Tucker Mertz 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 at second singles. At third singles,
Kyle Christy (Dalton/Tunkhannock) took the first set before Dylan Ryan rebounded for a 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 victory.
Bloomsburg fell to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the PSAC, while Millersville improved to 3-8 and 1-1.
The Huskies host Shepherd on April 1 at 3 p.m.
