LEWISBURG – Freshman Will Humphrey (Hemel Hempstead, UK/Parmiters) earned third place at the Bucknell Quad Invitational this weekend.
 
Humphrey defeated Conner Pietrak of Loyola (MD), 6-2, 7-5 to win the consolation bracket. After dropping his first match of the tournament on Friday, Humphrey bounced back to win his next three matches of the weekend.
 
In Flight "B," Nate Gambino defeated Chris Tortora of Bucknell, 7-6, 2-6, 10-5 in the consolation bracket before falling to Elijah Cerden of St. Francis by a 7-5, 6-0 tally. After dropping his first match, Brayden Shipman (Mill Hall/Central Mountain) defeated teammate Nenyi Micah (Allentown/William Allen), 6-4, 6-2, before dropping a 6-0, 6-2 decision to Loyola's Matt Berjian.
 
The Huskies return to action when they host the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference singles/doubles championships next weekend beginning on Saturday morning.
