HAMPTON, VA—The 22nd-ranked Bloomsburg University wrestling team lost to the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Saturday by a score of 21-17 on day of the Virginia Duals.

The Huskies were without eighth-ranked
Bryce Busler (Mechanicsburg/Cumberland Valley) at 149 pounds who missed the match after defaulting in his second bout of the day against Kent State.

Bloomsburg fell behind 18-4 through the first five matches with
Nick Wilcox (Greene, NY/Greene Central) getting a win by major decision at 133 pounds for the Huskies. The Lopers scored bonus points in two of the matches getting back-to-back wins by fall at 141 and 149.

The Huskies rallied in the final five matches winning four of the five bouts, but outside of
Josh Veltre (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia)'s win by major decision, all the victories were by decision.
Richard Perry (Meriden, CT/Middletown) extended his winning streak to 18 matches with an 8-4 win at 197 pounds.

Bloomsburg, now 4-4, will wrestle at Rider University on Friday at 7 p.m.
